Write On! Magazine Launch

Last Thursday was the launch of Write On! magazine, from Pen to Print. I've been very excited to be involve in this project as I've benefited hugely from being involved in Pen to Print since coming second in the 2017-18 Book Challenge. Write On! seemed an excellent way to encourage other new writers and challenge myself to work in a different genre.

The launch itself was part of an evening of celebrations, including the winner and runners up in the playwriting competition and poetry competition. The guest of honour was Martina Cole who had some kind words to say and took away a copy of all the Book Challengers' novels so far. I wonder what she'll make of A Silent Song? It was great to feel like an old hand this time and I found plenty of writers new and old(er) to speak to. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on Nick Maynard, who has the same mentor as me.
