Winter is Coming!
... and that's not a bad thing.
Okay, it's not even November but forgive me for thinking ahead. My birthday's in November and I love Christmas so I'm not too perturbed by the dropping temperature. This time of year is perfect for me. Cold, crisp mostly dry days mean I can still get to my allotment, have every excuse for snuggling on the sofa with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and the children at school can get out into the garden most days.
Speaking of school, it's been a looong half term. Next half term will be better. Although it will be darker, the half term is a week shorter and the run-up to Christmas means we have a lot of fun with our learning, especially as our topic is 'Chocolate'! The weather does mean we'll all be inside more which should mean I have no excuses to procrastinate and can push on with my writing goals. I'm currently editing The Prophet's Grace before hoping to go back to part two, the Armourer's Faith which needs some serious work.
Outside of actual writing, I have a couple of events, one at Chelmsford Library on Saturday 16th November and hopefully the Christmas Fayre at Valence House in Dagenham. I'll be there with my books and writing friends. if you're around, feel free to come over for a chat and maybe a mug of something! I'm also bound to be at Phantom Peak for Wintermas at some point if steampunk is your thing.
Winter IS coming but that's nothing to be afraid of.
