Summer Writers

This summer, I was honoured to be asked to be Pen to Print's Writer of the Month for June. As many of you will know, Pen to Print launched my writing career so I could hardly say no! I'm glad I agreed. it was useful to be reminded of the influences on my writing and and I enjoyed working with and getting to know author Mary Walsh, who has herself just published a novel. See the link for the complete article: Writer Of The Month: Rebecca Seaton – Pen To Print

The following month, I was able to return the favour by introducing author and illustrator Shahema Tafader as Writer of the Month for July. We share a love of libraries and grew up reading lots of books but I was also fascinated by the experiences unique to her culture and interests. It helped a lot that I had been in the hot seat the previous month! Read her article here: Writer Of The Month: Shahema Tafader – Pen To Print

Both these experiences reinforced the importance of learning from and working with others. I'm always grateful for the writing community and am enjoying slowly but surely getting out there again post-Covid.
