Putting one of my Christmas presents to good use!

So, while I've been busy publicising A Silent Song, the poor old WIP has rather suffered. Not any more! When I began my Pen to Print journey, my mentor pointed out that A Silent Song uses several elements of Vogler's Writer's Journey. I have been interested in finding out more about this, as well as being VERY aware that A Prophet's Grace needs some serious TLC, starting with going back to its structure.

Happily, my lovely housemate actually listens to my ramblings and gave me this for Christmas! I just started looking at it and can already see how this will help me see which bits of A Prophet's Grace should definitely stay and which should go, or be re-shaped, or moved elsewhere. Not a small undertaking, but it's proved a breath of fresh air so far and I feel if I spend some serious time on the planning, the writing is definitely going to flow better when I get down to it. I don't think I will follow Vogler's structure religiously, but I do think using it will get rid of existing dead time in the novel and help me link events and threads more effectively. Look out for updates. Oh, and do check out wwww.annarobinsonpoetry.co.uk for my mentor's work.

Happy New Year!
